"Have you ever stopped to consider, Rose, that due to your eternal nature,
you, and everyone else, live forever?
Of course you have.
And therefore, have you realized that in the truest sense,
everyone beats cancer, aids, and starvation?"
~ The Universe
I subscribe to daily posts from tut.com; loving, brief messages that remind me of my divine nature. And I just loved this message!
I believe we are eternal, that we only (very) temporarily manifest in a physical form as we are now. It is beautiful and joyful to consider that, as eternal beings, we will be wonderfully free of every ailment, every sorrow for all eternity. I’ve carried sorrow in my heart the past couple of months and I found this message a good reminder to focus on the joy in each moment; to find the peace and calm in every focused breath. Although each loss and grief is tragic while we endure them, they are mercifully temporary. All suffering is temporary. Hallelujah for that!
You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.
~ C. S. Lewis

That's certainly a wonderful way to look at things, Rose, and I too try to remember that when things feel heavy. (((Rose)))
Today I was inspired by a family member who is in a very bad place...not of his own choosing, it's a consequence. He spoke of his bunk in the section he's housed in. "it's the best bunk in the whole place and it's mine. It had a wall for 3 ft. that i can lean up against, otherwise my arms fall off the side of the narrow bed. (he's 6'4") AND, it's in the back in the corner AND has the window airconditioner by my legs. I'm in a cool dark place by myself it feels." Amazing that I was actually inspired and grateful for his gratitude.
Sharon - thanks for the hug!
Cindy - What a wonderful outlook he has. Prayers for all good things for him.
Rose - when I saw your post on my blog - it was like I threw open my front door and saw a friend i haven't seen in ages. What a great feeling! How are you?? I'm so happy you found me over at my new gig.
I love tut.com - and that's a great quote. It's so true. I'm going to post the Walker story for you this am. it's very sweet.
Rose,
I always find coming to visit your blog to be very special. I can always feel your soul in your writings and in your posts, and you always remind me of mine.
Thank you my friend.
Wonderful, wonderful! My husband and I were just having this conversation this morning. Sometimes he is even seems eager to "pass away" and discover what is next. He is such a scientist, yet one with deep understanding that we ARE a soul with a body, therefore there is nothing to be afraid of. We go on....I am glad that this notion brings you peace, too. Thank you for sharing this bit of loveliness.
Sheri! It's a joy to reconnect on your blog. I was so busy the last couple of months that I didn't have time to visit my friends. I missed everyone! I'm looking forward to reading Walker's story this afternoon!
Joan - Thank you for your kind words; I'm glad that you enjoy it here. I see you have a new post; must visit you this afternoon!
Jan - omigosh, I know exactly what your husband feels! From my earliest memory, I've always felt that I "straddled," being here and also being in a higher, clearer place at the same time. We get glimpses of that pure joy here, and will have it always when we transcend. At least, that's my sense of it right now. Blessings to you both.
Rose,
Guess what?! You are the winner of the "Mother Night" CD series by Dr. Estes at my blog! Yay for you! Please e me through my website and send me your mailing address so I can get it sent out.
